5 Simple Ways to Use Bentonite Clay
Bentonite Clay is used to help cleanse and heal the body. It offers so many health benefits and is a great, inexpensive way to help detox the body. Here are 5 simple ways to use bentonite clay for a healthier home!
5 Simple Ways to Use Bentonite Clay
1. Detox Face Mask-
I like to get about a tbsp of bentonite clay damp with some apple cider vinegar. Then, it works great to spread on your face. You can leave it on for about 20 minutes. It helps to draw out toxins, and it leaves your face feeling smooth. I use this mask about 2-3 times per week.
2. Detox Bath-
This clay added to your bath helps to bind to toxins. It leaves your skin feeling so smooth! You can add about 1/4 cup into your bath. For an extra boost add 4 drops of lavender essential oil.
3. Baby Powder-
Bentonite clay is a great natural alternative to baby powder! It helps to soothe the skin if irritated or red. You can add a small amount onto the area, let sit for a couple of minutes, then wipe away.
4. Skin Irritants-
It is great used on the skin for certain skin irritants like burns, insect bites, and scrapes. Bentonite clay helps to calm the skin. I like to mix it into a paste with some water, wait until it dries, then wipe it off.
5. Improves Oral Health-
Since it binds to toxins and provides minerals, bentonite clay is a great natural ingredient to add to your oral health routine! You can add a little bit in some water to for a quick rinse, or here is a great Remineralizing Tooth Powder Recipe from Wellness Mama.
