4 Easy Steps for an Afternoon Pick-Me-Up
Do you sometimes get tired in the afternoon, and are you looking for easy ways to help? It’s so easy to get into an afternoon slump, especially with the fast pace of life. That’s why I wanted to share 4 easy steps for an afternoon pick-me-up with you!
Mornings are normally our busiest parts of the day. With homeschool, work, tidying up, breakfast, and lunch, it seems overwhelming at times. That’s why, when the afternoon hits, sometimes I need a little pick-me-up to get me through. These are my go-to, easy ways that I know will help you too!
4 Easy Steps for an Afternoon Pick-Me-Up
1. Add peppermint or citrus essential oils to your diffuser.
Peppermint essential oil and other citrus oils have been shown to help energize and uplift. That’s why they make the perfect blend in the mornings or afternoons when you need an extra boost.
A bonus tip, if you don’t have a diffuser, is to simply inhale the essential oil directly from the bottle! It allow for all the same great benefits without any hassle.
2. Drink a glass of water.
Water is so important for our health, and it’s good to drink enough water throughout the day. When we are dehydrated, it can impair aspects of brain function and can increase feelings of fatigue. That’s why an easy step for an afternoon pick-me-up is to make sure you drink a glass of water to keep from getting dehydrated.
3. Get active.
Another easy step is to get active. This can be anyway you prefer, even if it’s stretching or going for a walk. It helps to move your body in some way.
4. Tidy up.
Tidying up a space can do wonders for our mental and physical health. Simply spend 10-15 minutes to tidy up. I like to set a timer and spend that time tidying up.
It’s amazing what these simple steps can do to help give you a much needed boost for that afternoon slump.
