Before I get into the top 5 essential oils to use, I want to take a moment to discuss the importance of the quality of essential oils used. You want to make sure to use pure, unadulterated essential oils that are indigenous to where they grow, are organic, or have higher than organic standards.
It’s also important to get your essential oils through a company that tests their oils from a third party to ensure these high standards using GC/MS testing. These will be the safest and purest essential oils to use on your kids. It is so important to use a brand you trust!

- 3 drops Lavender

Morning Essential Oil Diffuser Recipe:
- 4 drops Wild Orange

Back to School Roller Bottle Recipes
It’s important to remember to dilute when using essential oils especially with kids. Below are some dilution recommendations.
For a 10 ml roller bottle:
- Babies- 1-2 drops
- Toddlers- 2-6 drops
- Kids- 6-10 drops
- Teens- 10-20 drops
- Adults- 20-30 drops*
*These are approximations. It is determined a lot on how sensitive the individual’s skin is, and how much he/she weighs. Always start off with a lower dilution, and then add more if needed.
Germ Away Essential Oil Roller Bottle Recipe: (10 ml)
- 10-15 drops Protective Blend (depending on the age of your child)
- Fill the rest of the way with fractionated coconut oil
Schooltime Ready Essential Oil Roller Bottle Recipe: (10 ml)
- 5 drops Vetiver
- 5 drops Wild Orange
- Fill the rest of the way with fractionated coconut oil
Add more drops as needed depending on age of your child.
Back to School Essential Oils Spray Recipe: (30 ml glass spray bottle)
Germ Away Essential Oil Spray Bottle Recipe:
- 15 drops Protective Blend
- 15 drops Frankincense
- Fill the rest of the way with distilled water
Spray on surfaces to help keep the germs away.
