Top 7 Cardamom Essential Oil Uses
Cardamom essential oil was one of the most prized spices in Ancient Greece and Rome. It’s from the ginger family, and is compared to it in terms of being beneficial to the digestive system in a variety of ways. Here are the top 7 cardamom essential oil uses!
This essential oil is from seeds after they have dried for more than three months, and it has a spicy, fruity, warm, balsamic aroma. Cardamom is known as one of the most versatile spices around the world.
How do you use Cardamom oil?
There are three ways to use Cardamom oil.
- Aromatically– It can be diffused around your home through a diffuser.
- Topically– When using topically, it should be diluted using a carrier oil (like organic fractionated coconut oil). A great way to use essential oils quickly and easily is by creating essential oil rollerballs.

1. Digestive support
Cardamom oil calms and promotes healthy digestion. It also may help to ease occasional indigestion and maintain overall gastrointestinal health.
This is a great oil to aid digestion and support healthy GI function.
Dilute it with an organic carrier oil. Then apply the oil topically to your abdomen.
2. Respiratory support
This oil promotes clear breathing and maintains respiratory health. It can be applied to the chest when diluted with an organic carrier oil, or diffused in your favorite diffuser.
3. Mental clarity
You can breathe in Cardamom essential oil for a sense of openness and clear headedness.
Diffuse Cardamom for feelings of increased mental clarity or apply topically under the nose and to the back of neck. You can use your favorite diffuser, or add 2-3 drops on a piece of diffuser jewelry to wear throughout the day.
