Best DIY Essential Oil Face Spray Moisturizer
Best DIY Essential Oil Face Spray Moisturizer
Are you looking for a DIY all natural face spray that hydrates your skin?
When I bought my skincare products I used to only check out reviews. I never looked at the ingredients because I didn’t realize how damaging the chemicals were. I thought, “If they are allowed to be sold, they must not contain harmful ingredients.” Boy was I completely wrong. There is no authority that requires companies to test products for safety!
That is why I wanted to share my favorite DIY essential oil face spray moisturizer that I use every morning and evening, so you have safer alternatives to use.
Why create your own face mist?
There are several reasons why you should create your own face mist spray.
- Everything we put onto our skin gets absorbed into our bodies.
- No authority requires safety testing.
- Since the FDA does little to regulate ingredient safety, it has authorized the cosmetics industry to police itself through its Cosmetics Ingredient Review panel. In its more than 30-year history, the industry panel has declared ONLY 11 ingredients or chemical groups to be unsafe.
- Products labeled “organic” or “natural” can contain petrochemicals, and those certified as organic can contain as little as 10 percent organic ingredients by weight or volume.
As you can see, these are some reasons why I love being able to create my own natural products. I know each and every one of the ingredients that goes into them and I know that they will be safe for my family.

Are their natural alternatives we can buy?
Not every product is unsafe, but I would encourage you to do the research before you buy! A great place to visit is the Skin Deep database from the Environmental Working Group.
In this database, you can look up the ingredients or products to see how safe they are for your home and family. They rank each of these on a scale from 1-10 with 1 being low hazard and 10 being high hazard.
They have provided so much testing and information to share. It’s a great resource to keep on hand!
What does a facial spray do?
This DIY face spray moisturizer has a couple of different purposes. It can take the place of a natural toner, and it also helps to hydrate the skin.
I normally cleanse my face and then apply this after I am finished.
