One of my favorite ways to use essential oils is by creating essential oil roller bottles. They are not only easy to create, but they are easy to use.
Since they are so small and easy to use, they are my first choice of essential oils to take with me on the go! Plus, I love how you can create custom blends depending on your specific needs.

How many drops of essential oil do I put in a 10ml rollerball?
This is one of the top questions I get about essential oil rollerball recipes. The complex answer is it is different for each person since everyone’s body is different.
A simple solution and a general rule of thumb for an adult is to use anywhere from 20-30 drops of essential oils.
What do I need to create these essential oil rollerball recipes?
Like I said previously, these essential oil rollerball recipes are simple to create and use! Here are the few materials that are needed for the recipes:
- 10 ml essential oil roller bottles
- essential oils
- your choice of organic carrier oil (like fractionated coconut oil or jojoba oil)
- droppers (optional)
- essential oils opener (optional)
Once you have these tools, you are ready to start creating the essential oil rollerball recipes!
How to use essential oil roller bottles.
There are certain simple steps to take in order to create these oil roller bottle recipes.
- Take off the cap and rollerball.
- Add the number of drops of essential oils needed in the recipe to the roller bottle.
- Fill the rest of the essential oil roller bottle with your choice of organic carrier oil (like fractionated coconut oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil).
- Put the rollerball and cap back on.
- Shake well.
- Place a label on the roller bottle so you know which recipe it is.

These are some of the top recipes I use with my own family, friends, customers, and clients daily! They are tried and true, and cover a lot of areas people need support in the most.
Please note that each of these recipes are diluted for adults to use. You can modify them for kids, but make sure you refer to the correct dilutions.
Happy Essential Oil Rollerball Recipe:
In a 10 ml glass roller bottle, add in the following essential oils:
- 4 drops Bergamot essential oil
- 4 drops Grapefruit essential oil
- 6 drops Frankincense essential oil
- 4 drops Wild Orange essential oil
- 6 drops Ylang Ylang essential oil
- optional: 2 drop Clary Sage essential oil
Fill the rest of the way with a carrier oil of your choice, place the cap back on, then shake well.
Calming Essential Oil Rollerball Recipe:
In a 10 ml glass roller bottle, add in the following essential oils:
- 8 drops Lavender essential oil
- 8 drops Roman Chamomile essential oil
- 8 drops Sandalwood essential oil
