Essential oils can provide many benefits. They can be used in cleaning, bath and beauty, supporting your health, and so much more! Since there are so many ways to use them, I am sharing the 50 Most Popular Essential Oil Tips.

1.The quality of essential oil is important. Make sure you are using a high quality brand that provides third party testing for their oils.
2. Less is always more. Since they are so potent, start with less, and you can always add more.
3. Don’t know where to start? Lemon, Peppermint, Lavender, Tea Tree, and Frankincense are great ones to start with because they provide so many great uses and benefits.
4. Need a great oil for the morning or a great one for a pick me up during the afternoon? Grab Peppermint.
5. Trying to remove sticky residue? Use Lemon.
6. Having trouble sleeping? Try Lavender, Roman Chamomile or Frankincense at night.

7. When first getting started, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. That’s why a trick I learned is to take one step at a time. Learn how to use them in one way then move onto other ways. You will look back on a year from now and be amazed at how much you have learned!

9. Essential oils can be used to make simple, non-toxic recipes.
10. Don’t know which oil to use? Frankincense is always a great choice.
11. Make sure to dilute essential oils with an organic carrier oil before applying topically.
12. Carrier oils to use can be fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, coconut oil, olive oil, etc.

32. Make a simple and non-toxic air freshener spray using essential oils.
- Add 20 drops of Lemon essential oil.
- Add 20 drops of Melaleuca or tea tree essential oil.
- Add 1 tbsp of witch hazel.
- Fill an 8 oz glass spray bottle the rest of the way with distilled water.
- Put on a spray top, and shake the bottle to mix well.
33. If you ever have a negative reaction using essential oils stop use immediately! It’s not a sign your body is detoxing.

40. Add a drop or two of your favorite essential oil to the middle of the toilet paper roll when you replace it for a fresh scent every time you use the restroom.

Staying organized with essential oil storage
45. Do you use different essential oils for each of your family members? I great way to keep them straight is to keep a shelf of oils in each person’s’ room. This way you have easy access to their specific oils or blends anytime you need them! It’s a great way to keep your oils organized.
46. Keep all your favorite essential oil recipes in one digital location for quick and easy access. You can create an Evernote notebook or use a Trello board to easily organize and keep your recipes right at your fingertips!
47. Don’t like organizing digitally? Organize your essential oil recipes in an Essential Oil Recipe book or grab some essential oil printable pages to create your own binder!
48. Make sure to always dilute essential oils especially with babies and kids! For babies and toddlers the general recommendation is about one drop of essential oil per 1 tablespoon of organic carrier oil. The general recommendation on children is one drop of essential oil per 1 teaspoon of organic carrier oil. As babies and children get older, you can start diluting the essential oils a little bit less.
