Essential oils have changed my life so much that I wrote multiple essential oil guides about them. There are many essential oils for winter that will help support your health. Some of the best ones are:

Here are the best essential oils for winter that you can start using in your home today!
Rose essential oil
Rose oil has many benefits during the winter including helping to soothe and moisturize our skin. It also helps to uplift your mood.
You can diffuse, roll on your wrists or temples, or add a drop or two to your favorite moisturizer.
Lavender essential oil
Lavender not only provides a calming aroma, but it also can be used as skin support throughout the dry and cold winter months.
You can diffuse Lavender for the calming benefits or add to a warm bath.
Eucalyptus essential oil
Eucalyptus essential oil promotes feelings of clear breathing and open airways. This oil also helps to uplift mood and promotes feelings of relaxation.
You can diffuse Eucalyptus during the winter months to invigorate cold, dreary days.
Thyme essential oil
Thyme is a powerhouse and supports a healthy immune system. It also helps support the health of the lungs and respiratory system.
You can diffuse Thyme to purify the air, and as an added bonus, it has a stimulating aroma. You can also dilute it, and add it to a rollerball and roll it on the bottoms of your feet.
Peppermint essential oil
Peppermint essential oil promotes healthy respiratory function and clear breathing.
This is a great oil to use for a morning boost or mid-day pick me up. You can also apply it topically to relieve feelings of tension. When diffused, it promotes feelings of clear airways and easy breathing.
Wild Orange essential oil
This oil can be used to support a healthy immune system and uplift your mood during the winter months. You can diffuse it for an energizing and revitalizing aroma.
Ginger essential oil
This essential oil is warming. It helps with respiratory discomfort and may help reduce occasional nausea.
You can apply this oil topically to your chest, but make sure to dilute it especially if you have sensitive skin.
Lemon essential oil
When diffused, Lemon oil is very uplifting and energizing, and it may help to improve your mood especially during those dark, gloomy, and cold days.
It also helps support healthy respiratory function, and it promotes healthy functioning of the GI tract.
You can diffuse Lemon essential oil or mix about 2 drops of it with 1 tbsp of carrier oil (ie. coconut oil) and apply topically to chest.
Essential oils for winter skin
Since the cold and dry weather in the winter can leave our skin dry and irritated, there are some essential oils that can help.
Rose essential oil is a calming oil and it helps reduce the appearance of skin imperfections. Lavender essential oil is also calming, and when these two oils are used together with a moisturizer of your choice (ie. coconut oil or an unscented lotion), they help to moisturize and soothe.
They can help ease the occasional dryness along with soothing chapped knuckles, elbows, and knees.
