What are natural ways to reduce stress?
Before we get to the simple recipes to use, I wanted to go over some natural ways to reduce stress. There are so many ways, but today we are going to touch on some of the ones that have helped me and my clients the most!
Essential oils.
These have been such a huge support. The amazing thing about essential oils is that it isn’t just one oil you can use. Many of the essential oils have benefits that include helping to reduce stress. Bergamot, Wild Orange, and Lavender are some of my favorites!

Spend time with family and friends.
Take some time and make sure to enjoy life! One great way is to spend time with family and friends. This can help you to feel loved and supported which helps to reduce stress in your life.
Prayer/Meditation.
This is such a great way to naturally reduce stress. It helps you get focused on the important things in life, and it helps to slow you down. Taking this time each day can be such a helpful support.
Journal.
The simple act of journaling can have a huge effect on your stress. You don’t have to have a journal prompt each day, but instead just write whatever you are feeling at the moment.
Take some time for yourself.
It’s so important but very difficult, especially if you are a parent, to find time for yourself. Even if you can only carve out just 5 minutes each day, it will help reduce your stress. Breathing deep and allowing your brain to rest for a moment can do wonders.
How to reduce stress and tension?
The ways listed above on how to naturally reduce stress can provide some great support. It also helps to have go-to natural recipes that you can use when needed.
Since stress and tension play a huge role in a lot of our lives, it’s important to have access to a lot of easy go-to support. This will help us have the tools we need to support our bodies naturally and take control of our health.

When stress levels are high it’s always nice to have some natural support right at your fingertips! That’s why I love creating these recipes, so they are already made when I need them.
Calm Day Essential Oil Spray Recipe
- 2 oz Glass Spray Bottle
- 5 drops Wild Orange essential oil
- 10 drops Roman Chamomile essential oil
- 15 drops Lavender essential oil
- Fill with distilled water.
Directions: Shake, and spray as needed throughout the day.

Stress Away Essential Oil Roller Recipe
- 10 ml Glass Rollerball
- 10 drops Clary Sage essential oil
- 10 drops Lavender essential oil
- 7 drops Frankincense essential oil
- Fill with an organic carrier oil.
Directions: Roll on as needed throughout the day.

- 2 drops Frankincense essential oil
- 2 drops Lavender essential oil
- 2 drops Ylang Ylang essential oil
Directions: Add these in an essential oils diffuser and diffuse when needed.

- 2 drops Clary Sage essential oil
- 2 drops Lavender essential oil
- 2 drops Frankincense essential oil
