How to Naturally Reduce Stress with Essential Oils
There are so many ways to reduce stress naturally, but one of the top ways I recommend to people is by using essential oils. They have so many amazing therapeutic benefits, and they help our “olfactory” system. This system is directly related to our emotions, and this is why they can provide so much support in reducing stress.
The top 3 essential oils I recommend to reduce stress are Lavender, Roman Chamomile, and Frankincense. They all have calming and relaxing properties that are perfect for reducing stress.

How to Naturally Reduce Stress with Essential Oils
There are three ways to naturally reduce stress with essential oils.
1. Aromatically
Some studies show that simply inhaling essential oils can promote a calming atmosphere that helps to reduce anxious feelings. This is normally done through diffusing the essential oil using a diffuser.
The same benefits can be achieved by dropping a few drops of essential oils onto the palm of the hand. From there, rub the hands together, then cup over the nose and mouth. Deeply inhale for 3-5 breaths.
It is also effective to add a couple of drops to pillows or bed linens, or you can drip 2-3 drips onto the floor of a hot shower (away from the water path).
2. Topically
Another way to use essential oils is topically. Make sure that when you are using oils topically, you dilute the essential oils to the correct dilution. The way to dilute is by using an organic carrier oil (like fractionated coconut oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, or grapeseed oil) when applying essential oils. The general dilution recommendations are:
Babies: 1 drop of essential oil per 1 tbsp of organic carrier oil
Kids: 1 drop of essential oil per 1 tsp of organic carrier oil
Adults: 3-6 drops of essential oils per 1 tsp of organic carrier oil
I always recommend diluting when applied to someone who has sensitive skin and on kids and babies. An organic carrier oil should be a staple in the home of someone who uses essential oils topically!
Since most people prefer quick and easy options when it applies to essential oils, rollerballs are the best way to do this! Not only are they quick to make, but they are quick to use since they are pre-diluted when they are made.

3. Warm Baths
The last way you can use them would be to add them to warm baths. This not only gives you the benefits that essential oils have to offer, but it also another way to naturally reduce stress!
Depending on the size of the bath, add 2-6 drops of the essential oil along with some epsom salt to help disperse the oils throughout.
