How to Start Your Morning Positively
Mornings can be a stressful time trying to wake up, get breakfast together, get everyone ready for the day, and deal with the unexpected (that tends to always happen at the most inconvenient of times). How you start your morning can set the momentum for the day.
Here’s how to start your morning positively, so you’re better able to handle all that life may bring!
1. Put out all the items needed for your morning routine the night before.
Getting all your items needed for your morning routine saves you time and energy. Not only that, but getting them out the night before also sets you up for success.
Since essential oils can provide a lot of emotional support during the morning, fill your diffuser the night before as well!
This simple trick not only saves you time, but it also helps you not have to think about which oils you want to add to the diffuser in the morning when you’re only half awake.
Two Simple Morning Blends:
- 3 drops peppermint essential oil and 3 drops wild orange essential oil
- 3 drops rosemary essential oil and 3 drops lemon essential oil
2. Drink a big glass of water.
Our body becomes dehydrated overnight when we sleep. That’s why it’s so important to get back on track and start the day with a big glass of water. It helps give you more energy as well!
A bonus would be to add lemon to a warm cup of water for added cleansing benefits.
3. Get ready for the day.
Taking time to get ready for the day in the morning can provide a lot of support throughout the day.
This doesn’t mean you have to put on jeans or dress up clothes each morning, but there is something to changing out of your pajamas each morning (even if it’s just putting on workout clothes for when you go to the gym later).
Doing your skincare routine, hair, makeup, and brushing your teeth also helps in starting the day in a positive way!

4. Make your bed.
This is a small, but simple task that helps to start your day off right! This small, simple task (that normally doesn’t take more than 5 minutes) leads to completing other tasks that need done throughout the day since you feel like you accomplished something already.
This also helps to create order in your surroundings which makes you feel better as you go throughout your day! It’s a win-win!
5. Eat a healthy breakfast.
What we put into our bodies is so important. When we fuel our bodies well, we are not only healthier, but we are better able to deal with the stresses that life brings.
Food is our source of energy, so the better you take care of yourself, then the more energy you’ll have to do the tasks you need to throughout the day!
Don’t stress.
Mornings don’t have to be a stressful time of the day. Just doing these small, simple tips each day can help start the day in a positive way along with setting you up for success.
