How to Make the Perfect Daily Health Checklist
Here are some ways to make the perfect daily health checklist for yourself and your family! Staying healthy is a very difficult thing to do.
There is so much information out there on how to live a healthy life, and it can seem overwhelming. Here are some simple steps to take to make the perfect daily health checklist!
How to Make the Perfect Daily Health Checklist
#1 Start Small
As with anything new in your life, you should start small. Do some research on what you want to add to your checklist to accomplish your health goals each day. Then pick only one or two small items to add to the list to get started.
You can add the next area of focus to your checklist after you have mastered those one or two items (normally it takes about 21-30 days to make something a habit).
If you are looking for a good starting point, one of the first things I recommend is for people to start drinking more water. It is a small change and doesn’t take much time or effort.
The next thing is eating more vegetables each day. I have found that the better people start feeling, the more able and willing they are to continue!
#2 Adjust As You Go
It is important to remember that this is a health journey and not a final destination. This means that you will constantly be adjusting, rearranging, and changing things as you learn.
It is so important to be flexible throughout this time! What works for you one month might not work for you the next month. Keep the checklist in a format that you are easily able to edit.
You will constantly be running into problems. It is what you do with those problems that will determine your outcome! Make your perfect daily health checklist, and readjust as you go.
#3 Fail Forward
One of my favorite books is called Failing Forward by John Maxwell. In this book, he talks about viewing failure as a learning experience and using it to improve as you move forward.
I challenge you to look at failure as a learning experience. You tried something out, and it didn’t work Now try it a different way! The worst thing that can happen is you fail again.
I have learned so many lessons through my failures. They have helped me become the person I am today, and I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
I also know that I am not done failing and never will be. Everyday I fail at things, but I get up and keep going. I am content with this because it means that I will not give up or stop trying to live the life that God has planned for me.
#4 Simplify
Keep things simple when you make the perfect daily health checklist. Try and batch certain “healthy” events you do each day. For example, if one of your items on your daily health checklist is making a smoothie, try and make enough for 2 days instead. That way it is less work for you in the long run!
Another tip I have to simplify your routine is to have a certain meal you eat for breakfast or lunch each day. For my family, I make eggs (with some veggies) every morning along with a smoothie. This makes it easy for me because instead of trying to plan out our breakfast items for the week, I automatically know what I am going to make!
Use natural solutions that have many different purposes. This is one reason why I love using essential oils. There are so many uses for them, and they are a great addition to any healthy home.
It’s easier to stick to your health checklist if you keep things simple and don’t have to make many decisions each day.
#5 Have Fun
The most important step is to have fun! You will be on your health journey for the rest of your life. The only way it will be an enjoyable experience for you is if you have fun.
Create fun challenges with yourself and your family. When you meet a certain health goal, you can go out and treat yourself with a fun experience that you haven’t tried before.
One of the best gifts you can give yourself is the gift of health. It will not only help you feel better, but it will help you to thrive instead of just survive!

Glad you enjoyed it! I think it is so important to remember that every body is different so what works for one person might not work for another:) It’s important to figure out what works best for your situation. Thanks for stopping by!
I love the idea of “failing forward” – that’s such a positive way to look at it. 🙂 I try to view certain situations as learning experiences, but it’s not always easy.
I think starting small is one of the biggest things I’ve learned when trying to adopt new healthy habits. It’s so tempting for me to want to do all the things and try to make adjustments here and there in every aspect of my life. But that’s not realistic; so I’m learning to start small and make adjustments when needed. 🙂
Good stuff, Reeni!

These are excellent tips! Starting small is so important. When I try to make too many changes at once, I fail at all of them, but when I start with just 1 or 2 I have a much better chance at turning them into a lasting habit.
Yes! Thank you:)

I so relate to the simplicity! It’s what got me going on the natural living in the first place. 🙂

I make HUGE green juices because if I’m doing all that cutting I might as well make enough for a few days. Plus, it’s ready to go!
Yes! This is great because then it is so easy to make sure you get one in each day 🙂
I love your advice to start small! I think so many people are unsuccessful because they have big dreams that just aren’t attainable immediately! But if you start small and accomplish the little goals, you will be encouraged to strive for the bigger ones!
Yes:) That is what got me started and staying on this healthy living path!:)
These are great tips! I’m going to have to read that John Maxwell book! I’ve read a few of his others and always really enjoy them!
