1. Cute mug
This is always a great option! You can get her something with a cute saying that reminds you of her, or you can get one of her favorite sayings put onto one. It creates the perfect personalized gift that you know she’ll use and love!
2. Photo Gifts
There are so many great photo gifts you can give! Pictures are always a great idea because they are something special she can look at time and again.
Here are some examples of gifts you can make with photos of special memories:
- photo collage
- framed pictures
- jewelry
- mugs
- blankets
- pillows
- canvas
- calendars
- photo books
Really any picture of family is a treasure to a mom, so this is a gift that you can’t go wrong on!
3. Go on an adventure
Pick a fun activity that you know you’ll mom would like, and do that together. Gifts are always nice, but an adventure you do together can create a beautiful memory that will last a lifetime.
As a bonus to this gift you could take pictures during it, then create a small photo book of the day for her to be able to keep!
4. Jewelry
This is always a classic option whether it be a beautiful necklace, a ring, or earrings. As an added bonus, it’s always nice to have a nice inspirational message or cute saying on it. Here are some cute ones from Amazon!
I also didn’t realize until I became a mom, that they sold jewelry that can be created from photos. This makes a beautiful, customized necklace option!
5. Flowers
These are always a nice gift or addition to another Mother’s Day gift you have. Fresh flowers create such a beautiful atmosphere in a home, and this way, they will get to enjoy them long after Mother’s Day is over.
Another option would be to get a potted plant that she could keep indefinitely or a plant that would be easily repotted outside to enjoy.
6. Essential oils and a diffuser
If she doesn’t already have a diffuser and essential oils, then these make a great gift! Not only will she be able to fill her home with some amazing scents, but she’ll be getting therapeutic benefits as well.
If she already has essential oils, then an option would be to get her more of her favorite essential oils or to create a fun DIY bath bomb she could use for a nice, relaxing bath. They give the feeling of being at a spa.
7. Water tumbler
These are always a fun gift option for Mother’s Day as well. Especially if they are around young kids. Water tumblers make it easier to keep water on hand when going on adventures or trips.
8. Plan a day together
This idea has been one of my favorites to use on birthdays lately! Plan a day together where you surprise her with all her favorite things throughout the day!
It doesn’t have to be a ton of stuff, but even some simple, little things throughout the day can mean so much! This will be different for each person, but think about some of her favorite snacks or meals, or you could surprise her by playing some of her favorite games, etc. I’ve found it to be so rewarding being able to shower a loved one during their special day.
9. Start a journal
What? How would starting a journal be a perfect Mother’s Day gift ideas?
You could start a journal where you can start writing back and forth to each other. We live at such a busy pace that it’s sometimes hard to be able to spend the quality time with her that you want.
Creating a journal that can be shared back and forth for years to come is a great way to connect more. This way you in write in it when you have time. Plus, it will be something for you both to look back on with great memories.
10. Hire a cleaning service
Everyone could use a break cleaning once in awhile even if you enjoy it. That’s why hiring a cleaning service to come in once (or more times if wanted) can be a perfect Mother’s Day gift idea! That way it creates more time for you to spend together as well.
11. Handmade card or letter
Look back throughout the years at cards or other gifts you’ve received. What means the most to you? A stock card with a “Love,” at the end or a homemade card or letter with encouraging and loving notes written in it?
I know for me, I always enjoy looking back at homemade cards or letters from throughout the years. This is why I’ve included it as a Mother’s Day Gift Idea. If you don’t have much money to spend this year, that’s ok! Don’t diminish the impact that a homemade card or letter written to your mom has. These are some of the most precious gifts I get, and the ones that mean the most.
No matter what you get your mom for Mother’s Day, try to make sure she knows how much you care for her and all the ways she’s blessed your life. You never know what tomorrow will bring, so it’s important to celebrate the little things and moments in life.
Wishing you all the best on this wonderful day!
