What is a sleep spray?
This sleep spray is an all-natural, essential oil spray that can be used before bedtime in order to help support your sleeping habits. It can be sprayed on the sheets or pillows as you are getting ready for bed or before bedtime.
It helps to calm and soothe in order to prepare you for a restful night’s sleep along with providing all the other therapeutic benefits that the oils have to offer.

All you need to make essential oil spray recipes are:
Just combine all the ingredients into the spray bottle, fill with distilled water, and put the spray bottle back together. It’s important to always shake well before use.

For the best sleep spray DIY recipe, you will need the following essential oils:
- Lavender essential oil
- Vetiver essential oil
- Cedarwood essential oil
Lavender essential oil
- widely used for its calming and relaxing qualities
- helps to ease feelings of tension
- promotes feelings of clear breathing and open airways
- helps to prepare for a restful night’s sleep
Vetiver essential oil
- has a calming, grounding effect on emotions.
- promotes feelings of calm
- rich in sesquiterpenes, which gives it a grounding effect
Cedarwood essential oil
- helps to relax and soothe the mind and the body
- has a grounding effect
- the soothing and calming properties help provide a great way to unwind before bed
Directions:
- a 4 oz spray bottle
- witch hazel
- 10 drops Lavender essential oil
- 5 drops Cedarwood essential oil
- 5 drops Vetiver essential oil
Mix up all the ingredients, fill with distilled water, and shake well before use!
I like to spray this on the pillow or sheets before bed (whichever you prefer).
Sleep Spray for Kids
Another great part about this sleep spray DIY recipe is that it can be used with kids as well. You simply spray it on their sheets or pillows before they go to bed.
