There are many reasons why routines are important and why people implement them in their daily lives. I’m going to touch on just a few.

5 Easy Tips for a Healthy Daily Routine
1. Start Small
When people start creating a healthy daily routine, one of the reasons why they don’t follow through with the routine is because there are too many parts of the routine.
It’s easier to start off with a couple of daily habits you’d like to change and start adding it into your routine. When you’ve mastered doing these daily steps, then you can add in more.
Pick one or two items that are the most important to you and start with those! It’s easier to keep up with a healthy daily routine if you can be successful with the habits you’ve picked.
2. Don’t Overcomplicate It
Along the same lines as starting small, it’s important not to complicate your new routine. If you do, then it’s more likely you won’t stick to it.
For example, instead of starting out with working out for a half hour a day in your daily healthy routine, just add in walking for 10-15 minutes until you have that down.
Another example is just try drinking 1 or 2 more glasses of water than you normally do for now.
This is a more realistic achievement to accomplish, and the more you accomplish, the more you’ll want to stick with the routine and add more to it!
3. Set Yourself Up for Success by Preparing the Night Before
This is so important to any routine. When we are intentional about taking some time each evening (even if it’s just 5-10 minutes) to prepare for the next day, it helps everything to go more smoothly.
This is especially important when trying to implement a new routine. Get the stuff out that you’ll need for the next day, so it’s ready to go.

It takes out the work of doing it when I first wake up in the morning, and since I do this simple task, it’s so easy to remember to diffuse oils to help energize me for the day ahead!
4. Just Start
As with anything in life, nothing will ever be perfect. That’s why it’s important to just start something and tweak it as you go. There will be seasons in your life when a specific routine will work better for you than others.
If you’re a mom, then working out during this time in your life might look differently than when your kids are grown and out of the house. It might mean more walks or workout videos with your kids hanging on you as weights.
Everyone has different obligations and things that are important to them. As soon as you get started, you can start adjusting as needed to make sure this daily health routine fits well into your lifestyle.
5. Be Flexible
It’s important to remember to stay flexible as you get started with your daily health routine. What’s working one month might not work well for you another month.
Instead of trying to force something that isn’t working, it’s better to find a different alternative for the time being that works better.
Don’t be too hard on yourself because that’s an easy way to give up on the routine all together. Instead give yourself grace, be flexible, and adjust the things that need adjusted, so you can keep going.
